Wibstats - statistics for Wordpress MU
Stores visitor statistics for each blog in a WPMU installation. Site administrators can see the stats for any blog. Includes geo-location information (country and city).
Wibstats is a stats plugin developed for the Wibsite. It stores visitor information on a per-blog basis and gives several reports to the user so they can see:
- Unique visitors and number of pages viewed ever, in the last 28 days, in the last 7 days, and in the last 24 hours
- Number of visitors and pages viewed each day for the last 14 days (with a little barchart!)
- Last 10 search words which brought people to your blog
- 10 most popular search words
- Last 10 visitor locations (country and city)
- 10 most popular visitor locations (country)
- 10 most popular pages viewed
- 10 most popular platforms (that’s the visitors operating system, like Windows, or something much better like Linux)
- 10 most popular browser
- 10 most popular screen sizes
And there are some more detailed reports showing:
- The last 100 search words used and which page the searcher arrived at on your blog
- The top 100 most popular search words which brought people to your blog
- The last 100 visitor locations (country and city)
- The top 100 most popular visitor locations (country)
- And the top 100 most popular pages
Geo-location information is provided by free APIs from hostip.info, iplocationtools.com and ipmango.com to whom I extend my grateful thanks. One of these APIs is randomly chosen for each visitor so as to spread the load amongst their servers. Please visit these sites and enter your location (if it's not correct) and think about donating - especially if your site is busy and will cause a lot of load on their server. If anyone knows of any more free geolocation APIs I'd be more than happy to add them to the list.
Browser information is got using JavaScript guru PPK's script, and the JavaScript is minified using jsmin.php, a PHP implementation of Douglas Crockford's JSMin to keep your page light.
Please note: Wibstats requires the wp_footer action to be used in your page - so if it isn't there (normally in your footer.php file) please add it or you won't get stats.
